Commercial work is generally for reproduction, and I have done lettering for packaging, advertising, posters, photo shoots, rubber stamps, book covers. . . the work itself is provided either as original or ready to use digital files. This particular project incorporated a hand drawn map and handlettered product name, as well as the logo I had originally lettered for the client.
This was used on a wide variety of campaign collateral for McCaw Hall in Seattle.
Commissioned work is one-of-a-kind, individual artwork tailored to the client. It can be traditional, contemporary, illustrative or straightforward; it can be on paper, three dimensional objects, or even walls. Almost anything goes!
Wall lettering can be in any room of the house; this is in a bathroom. Check out other examples on the walls and murals page.
Even jewelry and accessories can be embellished with letters
Here are two variations of a project for an original piece using pointed pen. The first has drawn versals for capitals, the second Roman capitals.
